Whether you're renovating your existing home, planning an addition, designing a new home, or need construction drawings for a project already underway, JDR provides the experience and guidance needed to move the project forward. Since 1999, we have worked with homeowners and builders throughout the residential design and construction process. We can help with feasibility analysis, site evaluation, budgeting, and project planning.

START YOUR PROJECT

Tell us what you're considering. We'll discuss the project, your goals, the property, approximate scope, and where you are in the process. You don't need to have everything figured out before contacting us. Some clients come to us with an idea. Others already have sketches, plans, and a builder. We can start wherever you are.

DESIGN & PLANNING

Good construction begins with good planning. JDR can develop the design, floor plans, elevations, construction drawings, and other information necessary to clearly define the project before construction begins. For renovations and additions, we also consider the existing home so the new work fits naturally with what is already there. We field measure everything with laser instrument accuracy and create a floor plan of the existing layout for new design work.

CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS

JDR provides residential construction drawings and permit documents for homeowners and builders. If you already have a builder, we can provide the design and drawings they need to construct the project. You don't have to hire JDR for construction to use our design services.

BUDGETING & PERMITTING

As the design develops, construction considerations are incorporated into the project so that design, scope, and budget remain connected. When appropriate, JDR can also coordinate engineering consultants and assist with the information required for permitting. We understand that all building departments require local code amendments on the construction plans.

For clients who want JDR to construct their project, the completed drawings provide the foundation for a clearly defined construction proposal. The objective is simple: to create an exceptional residence through a process that is organized, thoughtful, and professionally managed from beginning to end.

CONSTRUCTION

Clients who choose JDR for construction can continue with the same team that helped develop their project. We coordinate scheduling, subcontractors, materials, inspections, project communication, and construction through completion. This provides continuity between what was designed and what gets built.
